Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – In a heartfelt effort to uphold the rich traditions of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), the AMU Old Boys’ Association (AMUOBA) in Riyadh has announced the expansion of its Tarana Team, which proudly represents the iconic AMU anthem at various prestigious events. The initiative seeks to involve more members of the AMUOBA Riyadh community, encouraging participation in honoring and promoting the institution’s rich cultural and historical heritage.
The Tarana, often referred to as the soul of AMU, evokes deep feelings of pride, unity, and remembrance among alumni and students. As part of the effort to keep this powerful tradition alive, Dr. Inamullah Baigh, President and Dr. Syed Ahad Murtaza Alvi, General Secretary of AMUOBA Riyadh, is inviting all members with a passion for the Tarana and a desire to contribute to this noble cause to join the expanding team.
