Riyadh, September 27, 2024: The AMU Old Boys’ Association (AMUOBA) Riyadh, known for its dedication to community service, held a successful blood donation drive today (27th Sept. 2024). The campaign, which commenced at 8:00 AM, saw active participation from volunteers and donors alike, underscoring the organization’s commitment to social responsibility and humanitarian efforts.
The event was meticulously organized, with various items provided to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for participants. These included banners, cups, badges, certificates, calligraphy pens, white paper bags, water, juices, fruits such as apples, bananas, and oranges, and a bouquet for the chief guest. In addition, a laptop was set up to help manage registrations and logistics.
The campaign was graced by the presence of a chief guest, whose support was recognized with a bouquet. One of the standout moments of the event was the recognition of Awwab, whose efforts and contributions were instrumental in making the campaign a success.
President Dr. Inamullah Baigh, Dr. Syed Ahad Murtaza Alvi, General Secretary and other eminent cabinet memebrs of AMUOBA Riyadh, praised the enthusiasm and dedication of the volunteers, expressing gratitude for their efforts. “This blood donation drive not only strengthens the bond among AMUOBA members but also allows us to give back to the community in a meaningful way,” said.
In addition to the campaign, AMUOBA Riyadh also took the opportunity to expand its Tarana Team. The Tarana Team, which proudly represents the traditional anthem of Aligarh Muslim University at various events, is inviting new members to join and help keep the rich heritage of AMU alive.
